After 30 years as an artist and educator across six countries, I’m creating Bolo Arts Residency — a creative sanctuary in Queimadela, Portugal, designed especially for art educators. Unlike traditional residencies, Bolo will offer time and space to pause, reflect, and renew through collaboration, cultural exchange, and personal creative practice. Nestled in the northern hills near Guimarães, Braga, and Porto, it will be a place where educators can reconnect with their initial purpose: making art and deepening their expression. This project is built on collective care and community support — and I invite you to be a part of it.

Bolo Seed Supporter ($100–$499)
Bolo Creative Catalyst ($500–$1,999)
Bolo Residency Builder ($2,000–$4,999)
Bolo Founding Benefactor ($5,000+)

At the Benefactor level, you will play a foundational role — with name recognition on our residency wall, a one-week complimentary stay at Bolo for 2 people (accommodations only), and website acknowledgment.

Contributions at all levels will help to support studio renovations, property enhancements, supplies, studio equipment, and workshops, just to name a few.
